About Shoretide Studios

Shoretide Studios was founded with a simple belief:

Tabletop games should create memories that stay with us for years.

Not just rules. Not just balance spreadsheets. Not just moving miniatures across a board.

Real moments.

The desperate final stand of a wounded gladiator before a screaming crowd.
The explorer who returns from a cursed expedition forever changed by what they found.
The scavenger crew making one final run through a dying wasteland because they have nothing left to lose.
The bounty hunter drifting through the cold dark between stars while a damaged AI whispers in their ear.

Those are the moments that inspired Shoretide Studios.

Growing up with video games, films, novels, and tabletop worlds that felt alive, I always found myself chasing the same feeling: worlds that could pull you completely into them. Games where mechanics and storytelling worked together to create something emotional, cinematic, and memorable.

That philosophy sits at the heart of every project I create.

I do not believe narrative should rely entirely on players “making it up themselves” while the rules simply act as a framework. I believe mechanics should actively help create stories. Systems should generate tension, drama, triumph, disaster, sacrifice, revenge, corruption, desperation, and those unforgettable moments players still talk about years later.

The best games are not remembered because somebody rolled well once.

They are remembered because something meaningful happened.

Because a character survived against impossible odds. Because a rival earned respect in the arena. Because a warband slowly descended into madness over months of campaign play. Because a crew member sacrificed themselves so the others could escape.

That emotional connection is what I aim to build into every world at Shoretide Studios.

Each setting is designed not simply as a backdrop for combat, but as a living world with its own identity, tone, atmosphere, and style of storytelling.

The Worlds of Shoretide Studios

Dominus: Blood in the Sand

A brutal gladiatorial skirmish game set within the roaring arenas of a ruthless empire.

Dominus focuses on fast, cinematic combat where every duel feels personal. Fighters earn the favour of the crowd through spectacle, violence, and survival, battling for glory beneath the burning sun and before bloodthirsty spectators. Inspired by classic sword-and-sandal epics, the game is built around visceral close combat, dramatic reversals, and the tension of life-or-death arena combat.

Isle of Ashara

A dark fantasy skirmish world shaped by corruption, ancient powers, and impossible mysteries.

Ashara is a place where adventurers, mercenaries, scholars, and treasure hunters are drawn toward a cursed island filled with forgotten ruins, shattered civilizations, dangerous creatures, and unstable magic. Campaigns are designed to evolve characters over time, with corruption, injury, and discovery permanently shaping the stories players create.

Hullrats

A sci-fi skirmish game built around desperate crews surviving on the edge of civilized space.

Part bounty hunters, part scavengers, part mercenaries, Hullrats explores life among rusting ships, dying stations, hostile corporations, and dangerous frontier worlds. The game combines tactical firefights, resource management, AI-driven enemies, and narrative progression to create stories that feel closer to a space western survival series than a traditional tabletop wargame.

Ashfall: The Rust Roads

A post-apocalyptic wasteland where corporations rule from fortified mega-cities while scavengers and road crews fight to survive beyond the walls.

Ashfall blends dark humour, brutal combat, desperate survival, and heavily customizable vehicles into a world inspired by dystopian sci-fi, wasteland fiction, and corporate horror. Crews take dangerous contracts across the Rust Roads, upgrading their rigs while navigating the madness of a dying world built on greed, decay, and absurdity.

Shoretide Studios is still only at the beginning of its journey.

Every game, every model, every rulebook, and every world is part of a larger vision: to create tabletop experiences that feel immersive, cinematic, character-driven, and unforgettable.

Because the best stories are not just told.

They are played.

Limitless adventures in limitless worlds.
